Stackvenn
Privacy policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
Stackvenn (stackvenn.com) is a publication by Srihari Venkatesan. Reading is open to everyone without an account. This page explains what we collect and what you can do about it.
If you only read
- Analytics: we use PostHog to count visits and see which articles are read. It runs without cookies or local storage, does not record your screen, and we ask it not to keep your IP address.
- A small cookie for claps: if you clap without signing in, we set one random ID cookie so the clap counts once. It does not identify you.
- Settings on your device: text size, page colour and articles you save without an account are kept in your own browser only.
If you sign in with Google
- We receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. We never see your Google password.
- We store what you choose to do here: claps, comments, likes, reports and saved articles.
- Your name and photo appear next to your comments.
How we use it
Only to run the features you use: showing your saved list on every device, attributing your comments, counting claps and understanding which articles are useful. We do not sell your data, show ads or share it with advertisers.
Where it is kept
The site and its database run on Cloudflare. Analytics are processed by PostHog. Sign-in is provided by Google. Each handles data under its own privacy terms.
Your choices
- Download your data or delete your account at any time with the buttons below while signed in. Deleting removes your account, saved articles, claps and likes; your comments stay as "Deleted user" so conversations still make sense.
- Or email srihari@stackvenn.com and we will do it for you.
